  12. I really don't think any init. string will help.

  14. I contact NewCom and they did gave me a few string to try.
  15. None worked and I returned the thing to vendor after 2 weeks.

  17. Bought another brand of modem for $30 more (cardinal),
  18. works flawlessly so far.
